International Market Development Coordination for Marinas

One current project Miler Associates is working on is assisting US environmental technologies and services expand into the international maritime environment industry.  Using CQD Journal and other contacts, we bring relevant US technologies and services to the attention of the international shipping community.  In particular, we are promoting technologies and services to combat and prevent pollution in the marina and nautical tourism trade.

We are working with a consortium of marina businesses to introduce US goods and services to appropriate international authorities and businesses.  For example, we have US manufacturers of pump-out stations that would like to present their products.  We also have an expert in marina pollution prevention education who can show international marina managers various ways to increase business through environmental practices.

Miller Associates is the focal point bringing this consortium together.  We are already working with environmental protection associations in Turkey to present a similar program.  We believe there are other international opportunities including the Middle East.

We have come to understand that Egypt and other Middle Eastern nations have initiated new environmental regulations.  Many of these nations are under pressure to quickly get environmental improvements into place.

We believe Egypt and the Middle East will be the next emerging marketplace for US marina technologies.  In this field, US pollution control firms are world leaders, thanks in part due to progressive environmental regulations such as the Clean Vessel Act (CVA) of 1992.  Because legislation in areas such as the E.U. are in their infancy, US firms are technologically ahead of our European competition.

Marina pollution prevention is already one of the most successful programs integrating industry participation with environmental protection.  EPA awared the  "Clean Waters - Clear Values" program because it showed that industry participation and environmental quality can be merged successfully.  Funding from the CVA of 1992 allowed firms to install pump out stations in thousands of marinas throughout US waters.  These programs have developed this industry such that it is now ready to expand into the international market.

We feel it is the perfect time for US firms to get into this market.  To become part of this dynamic program contact Miller Associates at:  (973) 377-0085, fax (973) 377-3312
